Shipping Policy

Delivery within Northern Ireland and United Kingdom:

Click & Collect services are available from: our Omagh base or Strabane base; you will be asked during checkout which location suits you best. You will receive a notification indicating your date and time of pick up, please contact us via email to discuss an alternative if not suitable.   

Postage and packaging under 2kg is free to Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom. All deliveries will be tracked via ROYAL MAIL SERVICES. Once dispatched, you will receive notification of tracking and estimated delivery time.

In some cases, where applicable, packages larger than 2kg may require a Courier Service and incur an additional charge in accordance with their terms of shipping. Please contact us to discuss this further if required.

Deliveries outside of Northern Ireland: 

​

Ireland: Items are not eligible for free delivery, the postage, carriage and custom charges that apply to your region will be applied to you, the customer. 

Delivery Problems:

Once we have dispatched your order to the delivery service chosen, it is out of our hands, if an issue occurs regarding delivery, please contact us and your courier with your tracking number to help locate your item(s). If said items cannot be recovered, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you in any way that we can. 

Refund, Returns & Exchanges Policy

Refund & Returns

Due to the nature of our business and products we sell, perishable items are not eligible for a refund unless deemed:

  • damaged,

  • rotten

  • or contaminated in any way on arrival;

if this has occurred please contact us immediately; with proof of purchase and photographs or said condition. We'll contact you to let you know whether your refund will be processed or not, and credit your original method of payment, we aim to refund within 14 days from when we receive proof that perishable items are deemed unfit for consumption.

For any other physical product items, such as: cheese boards, baskets, etc. to be eligible for a refund, you have to return the item you have purchased to us within 14 calendar days of the purchase. The item must be unopened and in its original condition. Please contact us via email to get a free shipping label.

Cancellations

If you have changed your mind about a food purchase you must notify us prior receiving a notification that your purchase has been dispatched.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange a physical product purchase you have made within 14 working days after the date of delivery, you are entitled to a full refund or exchange of the original purchase price for the goods with exemption of perishable items.

Ordering From Us

 Here we set out how a legally binding contract between you and us is made.

​

  •  You place an order on our site by doing the following:

  • The user adds products to their basket and proceed to the checkout where they input their payment details to complete their purchase.

  •  Please read and check your order carefully before submitting it. However, if you need to correct any errors you can do so before submitting it to us.

  •  When you place your order at the end of the online checkout process (e.g. when you confirm payment), we will acknowledge it by Email. This acknowledgement does not, however, mean that your order has been accepted.

  • We may contact you to say that we do not accept your order. This is typically for the following reasons:

  •  the goods and/or services are unavailable;

  • we cannot authorise your payment;

  • you are not allowed to buy the goods and/or services from us;

  • we are not allowed to sell the goods and/or services to you;

  •  the number of goods and/or services you have ordered is too large; or

  •  there has been a mistake on the pricing or description of the goods and/or services.

  • We will only accept your order when we send you an Email to confirm this  enquiries.theplatterwomen@gmail.com   At this point:

a. a legally binding contract will be in place between you and us; and

b. your order will be fulfilled

  •  If you are under the age of 18 you may not buy any goods and/or services from our site. However, in some cases you may not be able to buy certain goods and/or services because you are too young. If so this will be set out on the relevant webpage for the goods and/or services concerned.

Custom Catering

We endeavour to provide our customers with the order in which they request, substitutions will be cleared with the client prior production via email to ensure the customer is satisfied with such changes. In the event of the customer wishing to change the  aspects of the order such request must be given by the client to us in writing. We will use our best endeavours to make the changes in accordance with this request but must reserve the right to charge the client the additional cost of any such changes arising out of this request and will notify the client of the costs at the time of the request or as soon as possible.

Right to Cancel

You have the right to cancel the contract created by these Terms within 14 days without giving any reason.

  • However, this right to cancel will not apply to any of the following products:

  • Perishable food items and food purchases that have already been dispatched.

  •  The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day:

I. on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of any goods, in the case of a sales contract;

II. on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good purchased, in the case of a contract relating to multiple goods ordered by the consumer in one order and delivered separately;

III. on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last lot or piece of any purchased goods, in the case of a contract relating to delivery of a good consisting of multiple lots or pieces;

IV. on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the first good purchased, in the case of a contract for regular delivery of goods during a defined period of time.

D. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel the contract created by these Terms by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or email). You can use the model cancellation form set out in the box below, but it is not obligatory.

Performance of Services

A. Where possible we will offer the opportunity to confirm the time and date for performance of services purchased during the confirmation process and prior to the purchase of the services.

B. In other cases we may offer you with the opportunity to book the time and date for performance of services following the purchase of those services.

C. In all cases we will seek to perform the services purchased within a reasonable time and without causing you significant inconvenience.

D. Please note that where performance is requested or confirmed to commence within 14 days of purchase the above clause entitled "Payment and right to cancel if performance of services requested to commence before expiry of 14 day cancellation period" will be applicable."

E. If you have any questions as regards the time or date for performance of purchased services please contact us immediately.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, and it must be in the original packaging where possible.

3. Some types of goods are exempt from being returned for a refund where they are perishable (e.g. food, flowers, etc) , or where they are hazardous materials or flammable liquids or gases.

4. Other types of services cannot be returned for a refund, for example where the service begins as soon as you make the payment i.e.: a gift card or gift wrapping service, custom made goods that have been signed off by a client and inspected prior production. 

5. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, if you change your mind about a purchase you have made within 14 working days after the date of delivery, you are entitled to a full refund or exchange of the original purchase price for the goods you wish to return, and the original postage and packaging charges made. You will not be entitled to a refund of the cost you incur in returning the item to us. Personalised or Custom made items, worn, washed or used items cannot be returned unless faulty from a manufacturing process. Items must be returned in their original packaging where possible. 

6.  Our standard returns policy entitles you to a full refund of the purchase price if you change your mind (i.e. the goods provided are faulty or were not described properly) within 14 working days.

7. If the item you purchased was faulty, or you think the item was not as described in the item description, please contact us first before requesting a refund as we may be able to resolve your problem to your satisfaction. Faulty items must be reported within 14 days and are accepted up to 28 days after the delivery date. 

8. Where you would like to return a physical product you have purchased, please contact us to let us know that you will be returning the item and we will provide you with the return details.
